About Us
P R A I R I E S U N D A Y S
Romanticizing everything, and still being dazzled.
Prairie Sundays was founded by Alexandra Holden in 2019. Originally called Holden Home Goods, the shop evolved from custom wooden signs to what is now affectionately referred to as the Sticker Empire!
At Prairie Sundays we hope to bring you little moments of joy with beautiful products that stand tall on their own, but are even more special if you understand their subtle reference.
Every order truly makes our day. Everything is made from the kitchen table right here in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and passes a quality inspection by beloved family dog, Kaci. When you shop from Prairie Sundays, you can feel confident your money is truly going towards a small business and someone's dream come true.
Thank you for visiting us, we can't wait to connect with you. Make sure to follow along with us on social media (@prairiesundays), and have fun shopping!

Alexandra Holden
Founder Et Al.
After discovering a love for writing at a young age, Alex's fourth grade teacher encouraged her to find a subject other than her dog to write about. Since then, she has been immortalizing the boys who have broken her heart through the written word. She had two novels published by the time she was twenty-five and is represented by the Carolyn Swayze Literary Agency.
Alex isn’t just passionate about the episode of The Office where Michael burns his foot on a George Foreman Grill because he likes to wake up to the smell of bacon; she is also passionate about the value of women’s voices, Diet Coke, All Too Well (Taylor's Version) (10 Minute Version), anything blush pink, people who can commit to the bit, and showering her dog with positive affirmations.
Alex has a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature, her love language is written words of affirmation, she is a Type Eight enneagram, and she is truly thankful for everyone who has taken the time to support her wild little dreams.
Kaci Holden
Shop Assistant
Kaci is a 9 year old Mastador rescue. She still plays at the dog park like she is a puppy, and she thinks she's a lap dog. All she wants to do is cuddle. This actually makes her a pretty bad employee, but she's doing her best. 15/10.
